What to Look for in a Frame
The air filter frame that you select should be sturdy enough to hold the filter you will use and well constructed enough that it will not shift inside an HVAC system. It should be marked with instructions for installation.

What is die-cutting?
Die-cutting is simply the process of using a metal frame that is cast into a certain shape to cut things. The process is similar to using a cookie cutter. When you use a cookie-cutter, you force the metal cutter into the dough, creating a perfect shape.

Questions to Ask the Frame Manufacturer

If you are a small company that only needs a few filters, you should know that not all frame manufactures are willing to fulfill very small orders. In some cases, the die-cast they use may not be set to cut very small orders. It may not be feasible for them to reset their machines if an order is too small. However, if you need a copious amount of filters, a manufacturer may not have the time, materials, or resources to fulfill it.
2. What kind of die-cutting equipment do you use?
Before your paper is die-cut, it must be cut. Make sure they have equipment that can cut a large amount of paper quickly and precisely.
The die-cutter that they use should be long, heavy, and able to cut large quantities of paper at once. Ask them about the brand of cutter that they use and how their equipment compares to the Young Shin brand.
