Sure, you may spend some time with your loved one when baking and cooking the Christmas dinner or when decorating the house for Christmas.

Now with all the technology coming watching a movie together with your family may become a better experience. You didn’t get the new HDTV for nothing and what better way to fully enjoy its performances but watching a nice Christmas Blu-ray?

You don’t need to get the “traditional Christmas” movies or Tv-programs to spend some quality time along with your family, but it would be nicer for anyone if you’d go with fun, warm and positive ones that get all of you in the Christmas spirit.

Most of us fall for a funny, romantic story on Christmas and the Four Christmases (Blu-ray) really is about that.

The happily single Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Whitherspoon) impress us with their comedic chemistry and the story is funny and simply.

All the involved four families are forced to go through Christmas in one funny day. The movie is going to break out a laughter or two and we can definitely relate to the story and the feels.

The quality is impressive and you should add it on your list this year.

The modern-day retelling of “A Christmas Carol”, the Scrooged [Blu-ray] is one funny movie to watch this year with your kids.

The movie has a lot of humor in it and Bill Murray does an amazing job as Scrooge (a modern-day TV producer in the movie). You’re going to love Carol Cane as well and the story altogether.

Many think the movie is underestimated but we’re sure it has his fair share of fans.

As for the audio and visual quality, we’ve got only good words to say.

Crazy, hilarious, yet cruel, the movies may stick with you forever.

Even though some may find it a bit cheesy, when you talk about The Holiday [Blu-ray] chances are you’re going to end up liking it.

The romantic comedy gives an interesting story of two women trading homes, taking the chance of changing their lives forever.

Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black make believable couples on screen and it’s nice to get in the mood of love and romance, at least for Christmas. The soundtrack is great and help you dream of true love and nice Christmas.

As for the sound and quality of the blue-ray, they sure don’t disappoint and the movie is a winner for a Christmas night with friends.

Funny and able to uplift your spirit no matter how down you’d be, Elf [Blu-ray] is a great movie to watch with your kids, no matter how old is everyone.

The movie is about a not-so-typical elf that has to go through an amazing adventure, all the way to U.S. to find out about who he truly is.

Some may find it a bit silly, but you shouldn’t expect from a Christmas movie to set your brain on fire. After all, who wants to crunch their foreheads on the most relaxed night of the year?

You’re going to fully enjoy the Blu-ray and the story, for sure.

Presenting the interests of both young and old souls, The Santa Clause [Blu-ray] is a charming movie that makes it as a good choice for anyone with children.

The Disney’s hit comedy gives us a funny performance from Tim Allen, whereas the Blu-ray version impresses with the enhanced picture and sound.

The story is well written and the movie is pretty realistic. It leaves a joyful feeling and becomes a holiday classic that should be on every parent’s list this year for Christmas.

It’s almost unbelievable that it has been already more than 25 years from the release of “Home Alone”. Go ahead, have a good laughter, and feel your heart with joy with the funny and innocent Home Alone Blu-ray.

If you’re not familiar to the movie, here’s a hint. An eight-year-old (Macaulay Culkin) is left alone by accident by his family on Christmas. The little guy has to face two silly burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern), but this doesn’t mean the cute little hero can’t handle the far more experienced burglars.

The movie is a great opportunity for you and your kids to have a blessed time, full of laughter and hope. Like all Christmases should be!

The quality of the sound and picture of the Blu-ray is exceptional and the movie is a definite “Yes” every single year until the end of time.

This may not be the most famous Christmas movie, but this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it a chance and try it when you want to spend some quality time with your kids on Christmas.

The Arthur Christmas (Two Discs: Blu-ray / DVD + UltraViolet Digital Copy) is a cute story about how Arthur, Santa’s young son, is set out in the great mission of delivering the gift for the one kid that Santa’s army totally forgot.

With lots of humor to it and absolutely charming, the movie is great for any family with kids. As for the quality of sound and picture, you’re all safe for a great Christmas movie night.

Let yourself go and fully enjoy Chevy Chase at one of his finest in the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation [Blu-ray].

For some, this is by far the most fun-filled experience on Christmas as the movie reminds you that seeing is believing.

The impressive supportive cast is amazing and you never get bored watching Julia Louis-Dreyfus, William Hickey, Randy Quaid, Juliette Lewis or Beverly D’Agelor.

The adventure is great and you only need your cocoa when watching the warm, full of sheer goofiness classic Christmas movie. Can you already hear the “Fa-la-la-la-lah” already?

If you’re ever in doubt that Christmas doesn’t have to be all the time about hope and happy ending, this classic movie is definitely going to prove you wrong. It’s A Wonderful Life [Blu-ray] is an all-time classic and tells you about the efforts of an innocent man to come at peace with an error of the system.

Jimmy Stewart is amazing; especially considering it was his first role after serving as a bomber commander during the World War II.

The presentation is good and you may choose from the color or the black-white version. If you want to go all the way, always watch the black-white version first.

Emotional and strong, the movie manages to make even the toughest watched choke at the end.

There’s nothing sadder than a kids not believing in Christmas and this is one of the reasons for which the Polar Express (BD) [Blu-ray] manages to stay in the gallery of all-time favorites.

The classic feel of the movie is never going to go away, no matter which version (3D or regular) you’re watching. It’s the story that helps you travel back in time, but it’s never in a bad way.

Colorful, uplifting and inspirational, the movie is great to watch along with your offspring, even the little ones. Miracles do happen on Christmas, even if that’s about a boy that starts believing.

Well-made and brilliant at times, the movie is for the whole family to enjoy this Christmas.

When you’re a musical lover you just know you got to have the White Christmas (Diamond Anniversary Edition) [Blu-ray].

There’s no better way to get in the Christmas mood but watching the classic musical. Watch and listen to Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye animate a winter resort in. everyone should be impressed by the performances of the Irving Berlin musical and the iconic title track.

The colors are wonderful and the resolution is so much better.

When it comes to setting up a romantic, yet playful and warm feel in your home for Christmas, you can’t go wrong with this one. The songs, the acting and the presentation are amazing and the story is so sweet.

The Disney version of the Dickens’s beloved tale (“A Christmas Carol”) gives you the chance to enjoy the performance of Carrey.

The Disney’s A Christmas Carol (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo) is the fantastic retelling of the classic tale and presents a heartwarming adventure of the stingy Scrooge.

Some may find it a bit too scary at times, which is why the movie is the choice of the more experienced movie lovers.

Artistic, rich in detail and keeping the original dialogue most of the time, the movies is well made and gives you a sense of the spirit of Christmas, but in a darker way.

Get a great deal with the Christmas Classics with Frosty, Rudolph and Santa [Blu-ray] and pay just one price for 7 classic cartoon movies.

You get to watch some of the classic cartoons so nobody gets bored on the movies night. Here’s what’s inside: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol, The Little Drummer Boy, Cricket On The Hearth, Frosty, The Snowman (1969, 25 minutes), and Frosty Returns.

The beautiful quality of the pictures, the nice soundtrack and the cute animations make this selection a fun option when your kids are still into the classical cartoons.

Not everyone likes the jolly and merry movies to get to enjoy the Christmas. Some go for the dark, spooky movies that manage to be just as sensitive and emotional like the sparkly and “sugary” movies. A very good example on that is the Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas – 20th Anniversary Edition (Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack) that is one of the best movies of Tim Burton.

The classic movie tells the story of how a nightmare endangers Santa and scares all the girls and boys out there.

The Blu-ray high definition version is even more eerie than the original one and even though the movie sits on the darker side of Disney movies, it’s still a very popular choice out there.

The high-quality sound and image give you a colorful, creative, one-of-a-kind story that you shouldn’t watch with your little ones.

Let’s balance things a bit with a fun and cute movie for the younger kids. The Year Without a Santa Claus [Blu-ray] gives us the story of a Santa that feels down from being forgotten by the kids so he decides to simply go on a holiday.

A magical snowfall is going to be of great help and the movie is so fun to watch by young and older kids. You also get two extras after the movie: “Rudolph’s Shiny New Year” and “Nestor the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey”.

This is really like a blast from the past, but only with the high quality of the image and sound from the Blu-ray version.

Call your kids and watch together one of the most popular Christmas movies out there. The Miracle on 34th Street [Blu-ray] tells the interesting story of an old man (even named Kris Kringle!) that claims to be Santa Claus. He gets institutionalized as insane, but there’s always at least one good soul that believes in miracles (!) and fights all the way to then end to prove everyone they’re wrong.

The movie is also a great opportunity to watch a talented, 8 years old Natalie Wood that manages to give a memorable performance.

Lighthearted and strong, there’s only one big downside attached to the movie: you may want to see it over and over again, each Christmas.

We’re not saying that this is the best Christmas movie ever made, but we definitely say that it’s almost impossible not to like it. A Christmas Story: 30th Anniversary (BD/DVD) [Blu-ray] is one movie that can never grow out of and for some it’s the only movie to watch on Christmas.

Even though some expected the 30th Anniversary edition to be even more special, when you love so much the story, the sets, and the costumes you tend to forget and not see all the inherent minor issues.

If you don’t want to take any chances and go for a sure choice, always put your money at stake with this one.

Not all movies have to be about Christmas in order to be a fun movie to watch during the most wonderful time of the year. The Holiday Inn [Blu-ray] falls in the category of movies that are uplifting, warming and nice and give you a good feel mood, every single time.

It’s impossible not to love the stellar casting (Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire are amazing), whereas the singing and the dancing make the rather complicated plot (considering this is a musical) so easy to follow.

The Academy Award-winning song, “White Christmas” is unforgettable and prepares you for the Christmas spirit.

The picture is sharp and the sound is high quality. The special features of the Blu-ray are great and you may also pick a colorized version.

Timeless and nostalgic, the movie isn’t to be missed on every Christmas.

Get a better understanding over the Christmas spirit and what it really means with this classic Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas [Blu-ray].

The live action adaptation of the popular classic gives us a funny, manic Jim Carrey as the Grinch. Let yourself go and enjoy the playful story, inside out and funny side out.

The dazzling scenery, the makeup and costumes and the special effects turn the movie in merry and unforgettable classic movie to watch every year.

The picture is clear and crisp, whereas the audio is so clear. The movie is fun to watch and comes with one big twist: you may end up laughing too much.
